Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Art

At the core of The Mushroom Babes is a dedication to keeping the business as eco-friendly as possible. That means if we can’t produce a product responsibly, we won’t produce it at all. As vegans, we also want to ensure all our products are vegan friendly too! All our products are made in the UK.

• We use 100% recycled paper for our art prints and posters, with high quality, vegetable-based inks.
• We offer wooden pin badges as an alternative to enamel pins. This decision was made because they can be produced in the UK, and use 20-24 times less energy to produce.
• We use paper alternatives to single-use plastics in our packaging wherever possible, and reducing excess packaging is a priority for us.
• Redbubble, Spoonflower and Society6 are print-on-demand options for a variety of products we would not be able to sustainably produce ourselves.

Product Transparency

• Our art prints, posters, cards, postcards and business cards are made by Mixam. All our products made by them are recycled and can be recycled.
• Our pins, stickers, sticker sheets and charms are made by Zap Creatives. Our stickers and sticker sheets are sustainable, eco-friendly and can be recycled. Our wooden pins and made from sustainable wood. Our acrylic charms are made from recycled materials.
• Our notebooks and tote bags are made by Awesome Merch. Our notebooks are made from recycled materials and our totes are made from sustainable cotton.
• Our t-shirts are printed by Clothes2Order and The Quartermasters (a t-shirt company local to us). These are printed with a DTG printing method which lasts much longer than vinyl printing and can be more detailed that screenprinting. Our t-shirts are organic or sustainable and the inks used are vegetable based. These can also be recycled.
• Our packaging is all made from either kraft paper (off-cuts from the printing industry recycled in to new products) or recycled.
