Turkey Tails are a fungi that tends to grow on rotting wood, and they grow in layers in beautiful fan shapes. The common name "turkey tail" comes from the rings of brown and orange that grow with it and resemble, well, a turkey tail! The colours eventually turn a much darker brown/black as they mature and they can sometimes appear green as algae likes to grow on older specimens.
